WHAT IS SASIM?

In the MCube project Smart Advisor for Sustainable Integrated Mobility (SASIM) a full cost calculator for mobility is being developed. In addition to internal costs such as vehicle maintenance costs, the full costs also take into account the external costs of mobility for which the user does not pay directly. These are, for example, costs for emissions or accidents. The full costs can be used to compare mobility options depending on the temporal and spatial context with regard to their Evaluate sustainability. The aim of the project is to develop innovative approaches that make it possible to use Cost transparency, awareness-raising, as well as planning and controlling elements to promote sustainable mobility behavior. One focus here is on price incentives, for which suitable scenarios for a holistic, dynamic pricing system based on full costs are to be created and simulated.

WHAT HAVE WE ACHIEVED?

  • The methodological approach and the analysis of the external costs of transportation in Munich are here published.
  • In addition, a first Local prototype for the full cost calculator created. Users can compare the full costs of different means of transport for selected routes and view the degree of sustainability using an easy-to-understand traffic light system (Mobi-Score).

WHAT IS PLANNED?

  • Currently a Online version of the prototype created. This will soon be available for initial user tests.
  • Furthermore, a Fashion Choice Survey The results of this work will be used to simulate the scenarios, among other things.
  • Also running scientific workwhich examine the dynamics of full costs and their effects on accessibility and mobility behavior.
  • In addition, a Simulation model for Munich which can illustrate the effects of full-cost-based pricing on the mobility behavior of citizens.
