The promotion and spread of access to shared vehicles in the private and professional sphere plays a central role in flexible, sustainable and resource-saving mobility. Car sharing and other forms of shared transportation make it possible to make individual and business trips more efficient and reduce the need for private vehicles.
In the private sector, the use of shared vehicles offers a practical alternative to owning a car, especially for occasional trips or in urban areas with good infrastructure. This helps to relieve traffic congestion, reduce emissions and make more efficient use of available urban space.
The targeted expansion of these services and the removal of barriers to access can further increase the acceptance and use of shared mobility solutions - an important step towards more environmentally friendly and socially fairer mobility, and we are testing this in MCube.
The project investigates how various car-sharing models at residential locations can offer an attractive alternative to the little-used private car.
We have tested an innovative car-sharing model with electric vehicles in a real-world laboratory. The special feature: Only a closed circle of neighbors shared the cars.

With the replacement ratio of 7 private vehicles to 5 shared vehicles - which we are testing in ComfficientShare - we can save over 200,000 cars, extrapolated to Munich.
Since July 3 in Nymphenburg: Electric car sharing vehicles from ComfficientShare in our own underground parking garage!
Just imagine: An electric car is always ready for you in your underground garage - with a reserved parking space and its own charging station. This is exactly what we make possible with ComfficientShare.

What is MOSAIQ?
Imagine something: There is more space for people. The streets have more trees and plants. Everyone can get around better. That's how your Schwabing-West district could be in the future. How would you like your district to be? We want to talk to you about it!
The project is called MOSAIQ. MOSAIQ is a research∙project. MOSAIQ means: Mobility and urban climate in the future city∙part. The Technical University of Munich is leading the project.
What is MOSAIQ about?
MOSAIQ wants to make the streets in the city∙part more beautiful. People should feel comfortable there. There should be more space. For meetings and plants, for example. You can help decide what is tried out in the Stadt∙teil. The ideas come from you. Some ideas will be tried out on the streets for a certain period of time.
The aim of MOSAIQ is to make urban districts good places to live.
At the same time, the climate in the city should improve. And people should be able to move around the city easily.
What is happening in the district?
