Autonomous and connected driving

Autonomous on the road - networked thinking

At MCube, we are investing heavily in the development and integration of self-driving vehicles that can navigate safely and efficiently in traffic with the help of state-of-the-art sensor technology, artificial intelligence and automated control. The focus here is not only on technical performance, but also on reliable interaction with other road users and compliance with safety and ethical standards. At the same time, advanced technologies are used to optimize the flow of traffic. Intelligent traffic management systems, networked infrastructures and data-based analyses help to reduce traffic jams, shorten journey times and increase the efficiency of the entire transport system. These innovations not only improve mobility, but also increase road safety, reduce emissions and optimize energy consumption - an important step towards a sustainable and future-proof transport system.

Projects

We are developing and testing an autonomous vehicle for use in urban and rural real-world laboratories.

The aim of the project was to develop a holistic, cooperative optimization approach that particularly addresses delays caused by unpredictable traffic phenomena.

The aim of the project was to set up and permanently operate a test field for automated and connected driving (separate and not subject to road traffic regulations).

With the Wiesn Shuttle project, we have proven that autonomous driving is already possible in complex, urban environments.

Imagine something: There is more space for people. The streets have more trees and plants. Everyone can get around bettermove. Your city couldpart of Schwabing-West in the future. How would you like your citytake part? We want to talk to you about it!

The project is called MOSAIQ.MOSAIQ is a research∙project. MOSAIQ means: mobility and urban climate in the city of the future.participate. The Technical University of Munich is leading the project.

What is MOSAIQ about?
MOSAIQ wants to improve the streets inpart more beautiful. People should feel comfortable there. There should be more space. For example, for meetings, for everyone, for plants and for a good atmosphere. You can help withdecide what to do in the citypart is tried out. The ideas come from you. Some ideas are tried out on the streets for a certain period of time.
The aim of MOSAIQ is: The cityparts should become good places to live.
At the same time, the climate in the city should improve. And people should be able to move around the city easily.

What is happening in the district?

  • In the year 2025:
The people in the citycan participate. They can express their ideas. There are discussions, surveys and meetings. Researchers also begin their work.
  • In the year 2026:
    Some ideas are tried out.
They are moved around the streets for a certain period of time.
  • In the year 2027:
    The results are evaluated.
Consideration is being given to howcan go.
