At MCube, we are investing heavily in the development and integration of self-driving vehicles that can navigate safely and efficiently in traffic with the help of state-of-the-art sensor technology, artificial intelligence and automated control. The focus here is not only on technical performance, but also on reliable interaction with other road users and compliance with safety and ethical standards. At the same time, advanced technologies are used to optimize the flow of traffic. Intelligent traffic management systems, networked infrastructures and data-based analyses help to reduce traffic jams, shorten journey times and increase the efficiency of the entire transport system. These innovations not only improve mobility, but also increase road safety, reduce emissions and optimize energy consumption - an important step towards a sustainable and future-proof transport system.
The aim of the project was to set up and permanently operate a test field for automated and connected driving (separate and not subject to road traffic regulations).
With the Wiesn Shuttle project, we have proven that autonomous driving is already possible in complex, urban environments.
