ComfficientShare - Think Big

What happens in the project?
The ComfficientShare project is about developing good solutions for vehicle sharing in large cities. To this end, 16 residential areas are initially being examined in terms of their mobility behavior. This analysis helps to understand how residents get around and what their needs are. Based on this, the residential areas will be equipped with various sharing services such as car sharing (shared use of cars) and bike sharing (shared use of bicycles). These services are specifically tailored to the needs of the residents. The aim of the project is to reduce dependence on private cars and establish sharing services as attractive alternatives. These measures are intended to encourage residents to switch to shared means of transport more frequently in order to promote more environmentally friendly and sustainable forms of mobility.

Which problem does ComfficientShare solve?
ComfficientShare aims to reduce the need to own a car. Many people rely heavily on using their own vehicle, which can lead to traffic problems and environmental pollution. By offering practical and easily accessible sharing options, the project aims to draw attention to alternative forms of mobility. It aims to increase the attractiveness and acceptance of sharing systems so that more people use them, thereby reducing private transport. This leads to a reduction in traffic, congestion and pollution in cities.

Who is affected?
The project primarily has an impact on the people in the selected residential areas (the selection has not yet been determined). It will help to ensure that sharing services are available in many areas in the future. This will enable more people to use these services, leading to more sustainable mobility in cities.
