Responsible Mobility Governance and Innovation

Responsible Mobility Governance and Innovation

AIM OF THE PROJECT

As part of the ReMGo project, we have developed a concept for designing mobility innovations in a responsible and human-centered way. Our aim is to support our colleagues at the Technical University in focusing not only on technological development but also on issues of justice, inclusion and sustainability. We also work intensively on the political and legal framework of mobility innovations. In this context, we were responsible for drawing up the MCube innovation recommendations.

OUR APPROACH

For our research, we conducted interviews with expertsinside, citizensand other stakeholders from the field of mobility innovation. In addition, we analyzed relevant documents, organized workshops and developed concrete recommendations for action for policymakers. In doing so, we looked at both the MCube cluster and the international context.

WHY IS THAT IMPORTANT?

Technology and innovation influence society in many different ways. In the area of mobility, for example, means of transportation can determine which schools are accessible or how independently people can move around. On a global level, mobility also plays a central role in the fight against climate change and for the future of coming generations. Our research goal was to better understand the social and legal implications of mobility innovations and to ensure that those who are affected by these innovations - be it through new roads, apps or means of transportation - are adequately considered.
