We actively promote the founding of start-ups by scientists and support them from the idea to the market launch - with the aim of accelerating the transfer of research results into practical applications.
With the support of TUM, EntrepreneurTUM and TUM Venture Labs - one of the strongest ecosystems for spin-offs in Europe - as part of our integration project, we offer EPURA targeted programs for pre-incubation, acceleration and B2B business innovation.
Through Scouting we identify promising ideas and solutions from MCube that are suitable for spin-offs. We then support the founding and growth process of new start-ups through boot camps and hackathons.
Within the diverse start-up tracks of the Pre-Incubation Programs of UnternehmerTUM (such as XPlore, XPreneurs, XLab, Manage & More and others), results and employees from MCube projects are continuously integrated. This means that we identify mobility innovations from MCube that are still at the idea stage for services or products and make them accessible to a broad spectrum of potential founders.
In addition, employees from MCube projects, in particular researchers, with the knowledge, methods and tools they have acquired in MCube are available as Mentors and mentors for the establishment of new mobility start-ups.
In annual innovation sprints, potential founders work intensively on implementing the results - often in collaboration with existing companies (B2B).
The MCube project teams are supported in converting their research results into Prototypes The cluster is supported by experienced consultants from Netlight Consulting GmbH working with the project consortia to establish processes for turning the ideas from the cluster into products and services.

What is MOSAIQ?
Imagine something: There is more space for people. The streets have more trees and plants. Everyone can get around better. That's how your Schwabing-West district could be in the future. How would you like your district to be? We want to talk to you about it!
The project is called MOSAIQ. MOSAIQ is a research∙project. MOSAIQ means: Mobility and urban climate in the future city∙part. The Technical University of Munich is leading the project.
What is MOSAIQ about?
MOSAIQ wants to make the streets in the city∙part more beautiful. People should feel comfortable there. There should be more space. For meetings and plants, for example. You can help decide what is tried out in the Stadt∙teil. The ideas come from you. Some ideas will be tried out on the streets for a certain period of time.
The aim of MOSAIQ is to make urban districts good places to live.
At the same time, the climate in the city should improve. And people should be able to move around the city easily.
What is happening in the district?
