MobiPionier Workshop Day 1 - Future paths: Your bundle for everyday life

Date: Saturday, November 22, 2025
Time: 9:00 - 14:00
Location: Stadtwerke München GmbH, Emmy-Noether-Str. 2, 80992 Munich

What is MobiPionier?

In the "MobiPionier" project, a team from science, business, the public sector and society is working to test innovative and sustainable mobility solutions for the Munich metropolitan region.
Our aim is to get more people interested in eco-mobility - i.e. buses, trains and sharing services.

Your chance to actively shape mobility

Just imagine: Bus, train, cab and sharing - all combined in one app, easy to use and flexible to combine. This is exactly what MobiPionier wants to make possible.

And the best thing: You can play an active role! Together with up to 29 other Munich residents - participation will be decided by lottery - you will develop ideas that will later be implemented in real products and tested in Munich in 2026.

At the first workshop day the focus is on developing ideas. After a brief introduction to the project, the participants get to know each other and develop initial concepts - for example for mobility budgets or mobility bundles, i.e. flexible offers that combine different means of transportation in one app.

Agenda - Day 1

  • Arrive & get started: Get to know each other over a small breakfast and take a look at the participants' everyday mobility lives
  • Introduction & Background: What are mobility bundles - and why is MobiPionier working on them?
  • Discovering needs: What is important to you: flexibility, simplicity, sustainability? Let's work together to find out what can make mobility better.

  • Conclusion & outlook: Share insights, gather impressions and find out what happens at the second workshop.

What is MOSAIQ?
Imagine something: There is more space for people. The streets have more trees and plants. Everyone can get around better. That's how your Schwabing-West district could be in the future. How would you like your district to be? We want to talk to you about it!

The project is called MOSAIQ. MOSAIQ is a research∙project. MOSAIQ means: Mobility and urban climate in the future city∙part. The Technical University of Munich is leading the project.

What is MOSAIQ about?
MOSAIQ wants to make the streets in the city∙part more beautiful. People should feel comfortable there. There should be more space. For meetings and plants, for example. You can help decide what is tried out in the Stadt∙teil. The ideas come from you. Some ideas will be tried out on the streets for a certain period of time.
The aim of MOSAIQ is to make urban districts good places to live.
At the same time, the climate in the city should improve. And people should be able to move around the city easily.

What is happening in the district?

  • In the year 2025:
The people in the district can participate. They can express their ideas. There are discussions, surveys and meetings. Researchers are also starting their work.
  • In the year 2026:
    Some ideas are tried out.
They are moved around the streets for a certain period of time.
  • In the year 2027:
    The results are evaluated.
Consideration is given to how things can continue∙.
